Description:	Knit a pair of socks using #5 double pointed needles and worsted weight yarn.  Participants will learn the basics of sock knitting and acquire confidence in shaping the heel and toe of the sock.  "Turning the heel" can be a scary thing for some knitters, but you will go thru this process one step at a time and find (hopefully to your surprise) that shaping a heel is fun and can give you quite a sense of accomplishment.  Socks are actually a small, quick project.  They come in all sizes and make great gifts.  Once you get started knitting socks, it will be hard to stop.  Everyone in your family will be wearing and bragging about you new found skill.
